Pell Takes Down Inaugural vWDC

The very first Virtual World Diplomacy Classic finished up on Sunday, December 20 with an exciting top board shown on DBN featuring a 14-14 tie in 1910 between Vermonter Morgante Pell’s Turkey and the England of Nicolas Sahuguet from Quebec. Because Pell chose his country after Sahuguet, he won the event with Nicolas coming in a close second. Rounding out the top seven positions were, in order; Bill Hackenbracht, Farren Jane, Maxim Popov, Matthew Crill and Peter McNamara. The event featured 100 different players, from all over the globe. Regional winners were Farren Jane for North America, Peter McNamara for Asia/Pacific, and Claes De Graaf representing Europe.
